On Sundays, Hertfordshire's Mercury 96 6 broadcasts UK-wide news bulletins between midnight and 0700, and then local news bulletins on the hour between 0800 and 1300.

Contaminated petrol - This area was the worst affected and the newsroom was inundated with calls and emails from local drivers who'd broken down or suffered other car problems. Quality audio from garage owners put the other side of the story.
Mobile Phones - As the new punishments on using mobile phones while driving came into force, the newsroom had quality audio with police at the roadside, and as enforcement was carried out at Toddington Services on the M1
Schools - Always a worrying time for parents as details of school placements are announced. The newsroom had quality audio at the school gates from parents and children who were successful or missed out on their chosen places. Interviews also with the decision makers in Hertfordshire about the figures and how many got their first choice place overall.
